Community First Aid - PAD Site

Oxted District Community Responders are pleased to announce the establishment of another life saving Public Access Defibrillator Site (PAD Site) in Oxted.   Sarah Lewis, Head Teacher of St Mary’s C of E Junior School, is always pleased to involve the school in community projects and enabling life saving equipment to be placed in key locations in our community is something that she was pleased to support.  Through the generosity of London Gatwick, Oxted District Community Responders have been able to establish this new PAD Site, using the equipment donated by London Gatwick, which will cover the area north of Oxted Town Centre.

John Kempton, Team Leader of Oxted District Community responders, handed over the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to Sarah Lewis during the school Christmas Fair on Saturday 18th November 2017 where it is now installed in the cabinet at the front of the school.  Access to an AED within the first 3-5 minutes following a cardiac arrest can significantly increase the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest.

Contact Oxted District Community Responders on if you can help fund or provide a location for a life-saving PAD site.
